    Responsibilities

    The Role

    Reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager, will be responsible for tracking and executing on marketing plans. This is a cross-functional role, requiring leadership, execution and collaboration with members of different departments.

    You will get to:

    • Work with the Marketing Director to support the planning of brand and product marketing objectives and strategies;
    • Develop consumer marketing plans and lead the development and execution of consumer directed activities supporting those plans including: Grassroots events, contesting, advertising, print and video collateral materials, owned platform materials and messaging (linear, web, app, social media, YouTube), and sponsorships;
    • Brief and coordinate development of marketing materials through internal departments and external partners/agencies;
    • Conceptualize and pitch relevant brand sponsorships;
    • Assist the marketing team with activities supporting Affiliates in Quebec as necessary
    • Recommend Québec specific opportunities to maximize Télémagino channel awareness and reach;
    • Work with the Social Media Manager to create Télémagino social media calendars and content and moderate social feeds;
    • Work with the Communications Manager to maintain relationships with Québec based journalists, media outlets and bloggers;
    • Maintain annual budget, code spends and track all financial transactions for the channels;
    • Perform regular competitive tracking and market analysis;
    • Provide translation support as necessary;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    You will be a great fit on our team if you have…

    • 3 - 5 years' progressive experience in a consumer marketing role;
    • University or College degree, ideally with a focus on Business or Marketing;
    • Passion for television and kids entertainment; Familiarity and understanding of the mindset of target audience;
    • Knowledge of the media landscape in Canada;
    • Strong knowledge of social media and YouTube platforms with experience in leveraging creative assets and creative copy to support brand strategies;
    • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tactics including Search Engine Marketing;
    • Ability to mine data for relevant insights to benefit the brand and product marketing plans;
    • Written and spoken fluency in French with first-hand knowledge of the unique traits and needs of the Quebec market;
    • Ability to travel to represent channel brands at in-market events and meetings occasional weekend and evenings required.
