    The Role:


    DHX Television seeks an experienced TV Account Executive to sell national and local advertising, sponsorships, and events across Family, Family Junior and CHRGD’s media platforms. If you are an outgoing, organized and positive team player with a passion for sales, then this job is for you!

    You will get to work on…


    • Presenting, negotiating and closing TV sales campaigns, promotions, grassroots events and sponsorship opportunities to new and/or existing clients;
    • Meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets;
    • Providing an accurate, detailed weekly sales funnel of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales;
    • Generating new business through cold calling and agency visits, while upholding the Family brand;
    • Collaborating with Digital sales and other internal stakeholders on multiplatform advertiser solutions;
    • Providing outstanding customer service to new and existing clients including helping to develop creative solutions for clients marketing needs;
    • Representing Family in the highest regard within the marketplace and further develop the Family name and image;
    • Nurturing the customer relationships for your assigned territory. Gain consultative trust with key decision-makers, retain existing revenue and drive additional business;
    • Demonstrating expert knowledge of TV, digital media, social media, mobile, emerging trends and marketing to youth.



    You will be a great fit on our team if…


    • A minimum of 5 years’ combined experience in a TV media sales and/or TV media planning role;
    • Experience selling advertising, sponsorships, promotional programs;
    • Proven track record of sales success, team work, industry contacts and established relationships with relevant marketing partners, potential sponsors, media planners and buyers;
    • Ability to develop areas of new opportunity;
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills are a must; detail oriented with superb organizational and computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel); proven ability to create effective PowerPoint presentations;
    • Enthusiastic, creative and positive team player with strong interpersonal skills; capable of multi-tasking and managing numerous time sensitive projects.
    • Able to develop a sales pipeline
    • Familiarity with the usage and understanding of BBM analytic and TV Sales software;
    • Experience in children’s and family advertising an asset
