    The Role

     

    The Digital Asset Management Administrator (MAM Systems and Workflow Administrator) will oversee the AVID asset management products, digital file transcode systems and surrounding workflows. This will include core post production, TV and International distribution workflows but also creating workflows for any department that requires access to the DHX library. This position will oversee the workflow specialists to ensure the system is running smoothly and effectively. 

    Responsibilities

    You will get to:

    • Responsible for the AVID media asset management systems (MAM and PAM) both current and future
    • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing maintenance of all file based systems and workflows within or related to the Avid systems
    • Responsible for the planning and implementation of any changes or additions to the systems
    • Manage workflow specialists
    • Position will work with the library department to ensure all metadata is optimal for all workflows and users
    • Position will work with the AV engineering and IT team on implementations and when resolving technical issues
    • Position will be the primary contact for AVID and will oversee the AVID/DHX agreement
    • Creates, implements and maintains workflows for new user types across the company
    • Provides ongoing training and promotion of the MAM systems to ensure systems are used widely and effectively
    • Creates all training and workflow documentation
    • Creates and enforces user roles and permissions
    • Tracks performance of the system and gathers feedback
    • Creates and supports best practices. Actively evaluates system weaknesses and develops solutions
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    You will be a great fit on our team if you possess… 

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in information technology operations and management with a media company
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience with enterprise level media asset management or digital asset management systems ideally with AVID interplay.
    • Experience with video file based workflows
    • Experience with transcoding and delivery technologies such as Vantage, Zenium, Signiant and Aspera
    • Experience with video production and post production workflows with knowledge of Avid systems a plus
    • Experience working closely with software development teams preferred
    • Knowledge of key components involved in storage systems including SAN, LTO, AVID storage systems and Spectralogic systems.
    • Project Management training and experience
    • Proven SOW negotiation skills
    • Proven leadership qualities
    • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience with process mapping and training documentation
    • Experience supporting end users including all levels of management with exceptional customer service.
