    The Role

    DHX is looking for an Executive Assistant who is a pro at keeping our executive team organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment. This position will support the COO of DHX Media Ltd. and the EVP & GM of DHX Television. The ideal candidate should be eager to help, willing to roll up their sleeves, able to juggle multiple tasks, and have a stellar work ethic.     You will get to:

    • Manage executives busy and extensive calendars and schedule appointments including meetings, lunches, dinners, events, trade shows, seminars, speeches, etc.
    • Monitor and respond to email correspondence and queries 
    • Screen incoming requests to determine priority level, including meetings, visitors, phone calls, and incoming mail in a professional manner
    • Arrange travel arrangements and accommodations for both international and domestic travel, ensuring time and cost effectiveness
    • Organize and coordinate logistics of conference calls 
    • Prepare and print all materials in advance of meetings, presentations, events, etc.
    • Attend and take minutes during meetings
    • Support departments in various projects and administrative tasks
    • Manage To-Do List, helping keep outstanding items from falling off the radar
    • Complete, track and reconcile monthly business expense reports
    • Perform clerical duties such as filing, typing, and copying documents, and organize files
    • Compile corporate information and business research as requested
    • Act as direct liaison with vendors/customers/partners
    • Personal tasks as requested
    • Additional duties as assigned


    You will be a great fit on our team if you have …

    • University Degree or College Diploma in a related field
    • Proven passion for the entertainment business 

    • Previous experience supporting executives ideal 
    • Experience in the entertainment and television industry an asset
    • Excellent organizational, time management and project coordination skills
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize high volume workload and meet strict deadlines for tasks/assignments
    • Superb attention to detail and follow-through skills
    • Demonstrated good judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
    • Superior oral and written communication skills
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and you have no trouble using various technologies
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills – you work well with others in a team environment
    • Outgoing, friendly, and professional personality 
    • Flexible and adaptable; excited to support various unpredictable projects and schedules
