    DHX Media is looking for an experienced Development Coordinator to join our team!

    Responsibilities

    The Role

     

    We are looking for an adaptable team player who is incredibly organized, highly communicative, self-motivated and enthusiastic about joining a talented group of industry professionals working to create some of the best quality kids’ content in the business! 

     

    What you’ll get to do:

     

    • Support the Development team to ensure each project stays on schedule and deadlines are met
    • Update the weekly development tracker and keep the team informed of all changes laid out by Supervisor
    • Attend weekly development meetings with the team and take minutes
    • Liaising with other departments to resolve any issues that may arise and communicate effectively to internal and external partners; ensuring they are in the loop on the status of each project
    • Assist with writer’s room--- ordering and clearing craft, booking boardrooms, taking minutes, etc.
    • Track development submissions and provide coverage/creative feedback
    • Coordinate development submission agreements
    • Occasionally attend auditions and trailer voice record to keep take sheets and coordinate paperwork  
    • Conduct and creacte general/competitive research reports
    • Maintain contact databases and server filing system
    • Collect and process invoices
    • Book travel and creative meetings
    • Take care of dept. expense reports
    • Occasionally help prepare internal and external PowerPoint presentations
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    What you bring:

     

    • 1-2 years of experience coordinating in development/production/animation 
    • Post-secondary education in a related field an asset
    • Ability to excel in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, with a strong ability to create and interpret reports
    • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Proactive approach to problem-solving
    • Ability to organize and motivate a talented and diverse crew
    • Must be a self-stater and takes initiative
