    The Role

    The Production Supervisor is part of a small and dynamic Creative Services team responsible for creating effective on-air promotions for the Family Channel, Family Junior, Télémagino and CHRGD. Acting as a primary liaison with various internal departments and external clients, the Production Supervisor will be the central point person for all creative resourcing needs. This position is responsible for overseeing the workflow of all projects including; reviewing project briefs, creating support materials, obtaining the necessary materials and approvals, maintaining production schedules, ensuring content adheres to broadcast standards and is aligned with the overall company strategy.

     

    Responsibilities

    You will get to:

    • Evaluate briefs from internal stakeholders (Marketing, Programming, Sales) and ensure all project deadlines are met
    • Work with internal departments to brainstorm promotion concept pitches
    • Liaise with promotion clients to obtain materials and approval
    • Manage script, promo and content approval process
    • Lead the execution of sales promotions (including contests, sponsorships, events) from approved concept through completion
    • Prepare and lead project briefings with various departments, create work back schedules and manage internal/external feedback and approvals
    • Lead the planning and execution of Marketing and Sales tools (including sizzle reels, sales trailers)
    • Proactively identify any project/delivery risks, escalating issues to management, if necessary
    • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders regarding updates and shifting priorities
    • Schedule and coordinate all Creative team meetings
    • Manage and track overall resource allocation and capacity for the Creative Services Department, including talent and freelance roster
    • Organize and coordinate documentation for new hires, and freelancers (NDA)
    • Oversee, manage and approve freelance/contractor costs and invoices - negotiating preferred rates where possible
    • Work with Programming and Traffic to manage and resolve any scheduling conflicts
    • Book, manage and supervise post audio sessions and voice talent
    • Work closely with internal departments to ensure promotions are aligned with DHX Televisions’ overall brand strategy
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    You will be a great fit on our team if you have…

    • 5+ years of experience working in promotion, resource management in media, or a similar role
    • 3+ years of TV Production experience an asset
    • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proven ability to multi-task and accurately manage several projects at the same time
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to see big picture
    • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with colleagues and customers
    • Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment
    • A passion for working with Creative people and a respect for their craft
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel and Word required
    • Experience working with AVID, Photoshop and After Effects an asset
    • Can work flexible hours if necessary
    • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
