    The Role:

    As part of a small and dynamic Internal Communications team, the Communications Specialist is an integral part of building written and visual content to improve and foster a positive employee experience and culture. By assisting in the development, planning and execution of all internal communications initiatives, this role supports the growth of the communications function for DHX’s global offices.


    You will get to:

    • Alongside the Director, Communications, develop and deliver the internal communications program, ensuring the company’s internal voice is consistent and present throughout all internal communications materials and initiatives.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of DHX’s global intranet portal, by liaising with all Business Units to produce original and engaging content distributed company-wide on a weekly basis.
    • Contribute to daily social media management (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and GlassDoor), including content creation, community monitoring and reporting.
    • Support the development and planning of new local and global internal communications programs (wellness, recognition, events, etc.) to enhance employee engagement.
    • Play a key, supporting role in writing and editing internal communications content.
    • Identify opportunities to implement new communications approaches or to improve existing methods on both a local and global level.
    • Circulate all corporate and trade media releases to global employees to create awareness of company developments and priorities.



    You will be a great fit for our team if you have:

    • 2-3 years in a communications role.
    • Post-secondary degree or college diploma in communications, journalism or public relations.
    • Superior written and verbal communications skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to be a great team player with a “go-getter” attitude.
    • Superb attention to detail an asset, while juggling and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proven ability to initiate and problem solve.
    • Exceptional knowledge of social media platforms and social content development practices.
    • Demonstrated good judgment, tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and highly sensitive information.
    • A willingness to take on new challenges and try new things.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with basic Photoshop skills.
